1. Rust and Corrosion
- The Problem: The weather around Houston is so humid that it causes rust and corrosion, particularly on the metallic fixtures (springs, hinges, tracks, and rollers) of your garage door. Eventually, this rust can weaken these pieces to the point that various operational problems and even breakage are a possibility. Fast forward, and rust can spread quickly as begins to compromise your garage door system.
- How to Fix It: Preventing rust; rust is usually the consequence of neglect, specifically a lack of maintenance. How do we avoid this? Silicon-based lubricant: In the metal parts, we must always apply silicone-type greasing that helps to avoid moisture. If rust has developed, then rub it off with a wire brush and add some rust-resistant primer followed by paint.
- Quick Fix for Overhead Doors: We provide the whole package, with frequent lubrication for all moving parts and dealing with rust. If your garage door is seriously corroded, then we will also replace some parts to keep it running.
