Changing this review from 1 star to 3 stars. The owner came out early this morning and replaced the wall button unit. However, he connected the opener to the wall button using an extension cord from our leaf blower and advised us to hire an electrician. Again, emphasizing that the old wall button for the other door is right next to the new one, and is working just fine. He has also hounded my son to remove this review. So, to be fair, I am updating it.

I would caution against using EZ Garage Door Repair. On July 14, they replaced one of our two garage door openers for $1,400 – an outrageous price in my opinion. They recommended we pay them through Zelle to avoid an additional credit card fee, which we did.
At that time, my son (the homeowner) raised concerns about how the wiring was left when the repair had been completed. Afterward, I received multiple text requests to leave them a good Google review, which only stopped after I told them to quit contacting me.
Yesterday, barely a month later, the opener they installed stopped working. My son called EZ and asked them to use his phone number for all communication and he would handle this issue, not me.
When their technician came this morning right before 8 am, I spoke briefly to him through the gate while in the backyard with the puppy. I opened the old, working garage door so he could enter the garage. He immediately started blaming us for the failure. I told him the opener worked with my car remote but not from the wall. Our second, old garage door opener from 2016 is still working perfectly and the wall unit is directly next to the new one.
I then interrupted my son’s work meeting so he could address the issue further. At the end of that conversation, the tech told my son that someone else would be out later today to fix it. My son was anticipating communication from EZ Garage Door Repair all day.
This afternoon, the owner of EZ Garage Door Repair called my phone—not my son’s, even though they were told to contact him—and left a voicemail at 3:11 pm. Because it was an unknown number, the call went straight to my voicemail and my phone didn’t alert me. When I saw the message at 4:20 pm I immediately called back. While I was leaving a voicemail on his phone, the owner called me and left a voicemail saying that since “you don’t give us a call”, he wasn't coming today.
No attempt had been made to contact my son - the actual homeowner, the one who'd made the appointment, the one who'd dealt with the repair guy this morning, and the one who had been anticipating communication all day.
It is maddening to overspend $1,400 on a garage door single opener only to have it fail a month later, and then be met with blame-shifting, dismissive treatment, and poor communication.
